The Pure product is yellow transparent oily liquid, and the original drug is Brown yellow viscous liquid. Soluble in xylene, methanol, acetone, chloroform. Light resistance is strong, stable under acidic conditions, alkaline conditions are not stable.
fenvalerate was prepared from p-chlorobenzyl by alkylation, hydrolysis, chlorination to prepare isopropyl p-chlorophenyl acetyl chloride, followed by reaction with M-phenoxyformaldehyde and sodium cyanide.
fenvalerate has a broad insecticidal spectrum and no selectivity to natural enemies. It is mainly killed by contact and gastric toxicity, and has no effect of inhalation and fumigation. The effect of lepidopteran larvae is good. It also has good effect on Homoptera, Orthoptera, Hemiptera and other pests, but it is invalid for mites. It is widely used in the control of cotton pests, Fruit Pests and vegetable pests.
Acute oral LD50 of the original drug in rats is 451mg/kg, acute percutaneous LD50>5000mg/kg in rats, acute inhalation of LCso>lOOmg/m3 in rats, which has mild irritation to rabbit skin, moderate eye irritation. No mutagenic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effects. It is very toxic to fish and aquatic animals, not toxic to birds, and safe to bees.
